Synth based, with gritty textures and a driving pulse propelling it forward, this piece was inspired by the Dub Techno I was obsessing over last winter, as well as synth-driven Sci-Fi soundtracks. Strap in and enjoy the dark, foreboding ride.

This piece is a live dub mix of an unreleased Ver Sacrum track titled "Tape Brute". All the sounds were prerecorded as a full song onto 1/2" tape, and then I "performed" the mix as you hear it here: fading different sounds in and out, improvising the composition at any given moment, and trying to give it a narrative structure from beginning to end.
